This is a clip from 2007 shot with the Canon XL1. This was one of the last projects shot before moving from standard definition video to high definition video.  One of the advantages of the Canon was its ability to switch lenses, allowing a more cinematic look and more flexibility in a variety of situations.    Now shooting with the Canon 7d, one of the new generation of digital SLR’s, I am able to use a whole range of Canon’s photographic lenses, from very fast primes for low-light, to telephoto lenses for long distance shooting, creating a whole new range of cinematic possibility.

Emily and John were married in North Carolina. They now have a little daughter. It was a pleasure to be a part of their celebration.

I’ve recently updated my equipment to take advantage of the emerging technology of DSLR videography. The results are stunning.

I’ve also implemented a new sound-recording system that give my videos a crisp, professional finish. Poor audio is a common problem in amateur videos. Nothing spoils the mood like the hiss of wind or muffled voices. When your wedding video has been recorded with quality equipment, nothing will distract from the emotion of the moment.

This weekend I’m looking forward to joining another couple as they celebrate their union in Savannah.
